Goal

Gaining more insight on the daily variation of wellbeing and the interaction between work and leisure time. Is it possible to decrease work related stress by improving the balance between work en leisure time?

Implementation

A longitudional diary study has been developed in SOTO. This study consist of two parts. Participants have to perform the first part on a desktop computer and the second part on smartphone. Part one has one session with 7 questionnaires, part two consists of 3 session per day for 14 days with 4 questionnaires per session. As a reminder an email or SMS is send to the participants at the beginning of each session. A big advantage of electronic diary studies over diary studies on paper is the possibility to send reminders. This way participants tend to fill in the questionnaires immediately, thus being more accurate. The data is immediately available to the researcher the moment the participant completes the questionnaire.
