Dual partner study

This study will assess affective and physiological responses during erotic video, viewed individually, and during partnered sexual activity (i.e., using a sexual video-call analogue) in mixed-sex dyads (i.e., heterosexual couples). This approach will allow to establish and compare patterns of subjective and genital sexual arousal to visual stimuli with those that emerge during partnered sexual activity.

Two FPN labs were used for this project. The male takes place in one lab and the female in the other lab. The software made by IE controls the entire study and synchronizes the male and female blocks of the experiment. The hardware and software setup enables the possibility of a private video call between the male and female subject. In addition, the physiological measurement is synchronized between the two labs.
