To facilitate hospitals and frontline professionals in handling COVID-19 related adaptations,

this project has three main aims:

a) cataloguing adaptations that hospitals make to handle COVID-19.

b) translating hospital’s adaptations to changes in the work and work contexts of healthcare professionals and assess their effects on healthcare professionals’ sustainable employability and recovery process.

c) using and disseminating the insights to strengthen the dynamic capabilities of hospitals and their frontline staff to adequately adapt to COVID-19 induced changes.

 

For B specifically IE designed, a four-wave diary study to monitor developments in work characteristics and sustainable employability over a period of a year (i.e., 4 waves) as well as day-to-day dynamics in recovery. By monitoring these aspects, short-term impairments in recovery can be linked to work characteristics as antecedents and sustainable employability indicators as outcomes.
